Grace VanderWaal wins America’s Got Talent.

Fans of this season's "America's Got Talent" were not surprised when Grace VanderWaal was announced as the winner.

Twelve-year-old singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal was an early favorite, and she was named the winner Wednesday night.

The twelve-year-old sobbed as her name was called, and judge Howie Mandel, rushed to the stage to hug her. "You are on your way," Mandel told her. "I love you, you are so special."

The young singer, nicknamed by judge Simon Cowell "the next Taylor Swift," began writing songs at 3 and used the money she received for her eleventh birthday to buy a ukulele.

She will take home $1 million as part of her prize. She has told reporters that she is still a kid and would like to go on Treehouse Masters and get herself a treehouse

It was stated that the season's finale earned the most votes from the audience in the show's history.
