There are many activities that occur during homecoming week, one of these is the parade. On Friday, October 28th Ariton School held its annual homecoming parade. This year’s 1st place float winner was the seniors, in 2nd place was the Juniors and then in 3rd place was the 7th grade. In the parade each class has their own float that is judged to see which class will win points for the Fred Award. Attendants, Parade Marshall’s (The Paramores), cheerleaders, PTO, Class floats, Purple Cat Queens, Miss Ariton Queens, Ariton police station, Ariron fire and rescue station, and other members of the community participated in this event. The parade went through town and back to the school where teachers, students, alumni and community members all watched. The homecoming parade is an Ariton tradition enjoyed by everyone. We look forward to see next year’s floats and participants.
