On October 21, 2016 Ariton High School honored the class of 2017’s senior football players, cheerleaders and mascot.
There was 12 seniors honored on senior night. In no particular order, the seniors are, Lynnsi Hughes, Khaylee Himes, Daniel Price, Tyler Sullivan, Dylan Teal, Wesley Travis, Carlos Rivers, Claire Turner, Hannah Peters, Preston Herring, Jacob Batchelor, and Josh Barragan.
Before the game against Samson all of the seniors and their parents lined up in alphabetical order as Mrs. Jane Laney called their names one by one and said their activities and accomplishments.
“Senior night really made me think about this being my last year playing football for Ariton.” Tyler Sullivan said. “I am so thankful to have played this sport since I was 8.”
When the names were called, family and friends brought presents out to the seniors.
