Dothan Girl's Battle with Childhood Cancer has Come to and End

Libby Claire Rushing from Dothan, was 4 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma.

Neuroblastoma is a very rare cancer often found in the small glands on top of the kidneys, otherwise known as the adrenal gland. It is most common in Children ages five or younger.

Last year, Libby Claire and her friends made a lemonade stand to raise awareness for this horrible disease.

Libby Claire’s doctor since birth, Dr. Kenneth Brown, with Dothan Pediatric said "She's such a sweet girl and has such a great spirit...even though she's in the hospital and on medications and her hair is falling out again...she's always smiling. She's always got a hug for you. She's always got something special to say, to kind of help you with your day."

Libby Claire Rushing sadly passed away on December 5, 2016 around 8:30 pm after her 3 year long battle.
